Day 1: Adventure and Relaxation
Breakfast:
The Honeybee: A local favorite of sweet and savory breakfast choices. Come get your coffee and pastry fix, and grab something for your midday snack. Open 7am weekdays, 8 am Saturday, and 9 am Sunday.
Climb:
Summersville Lake: Main Wall (Sun)
Head to Orange Oswald Wall for sun and plenty of moderates. A popular climbing spot with plenty of sun exposure. Perfect for a morning climb with great views of the lake and surrounding cliffs. Bring your hammock.
Circus Wall (Some shade)
Need the shade and some harder lines? Hit up Circus wall to avoid some crowds and less sun. Shares the same parking area as Orange Oswald.
Dinner
Gad Dam Brewing: A laid-back dining spot with delicious food and a craft beer selection. Chances are good you’ll bump into other climbing parties here after the day of cragging.
Day 2: More Climbing & Local Exploration
Breakfast:
Gad Dam Brewing: That’s right, head back here for the morning. They have coffee and real fruit smoothies! Sit on the porch and enjoy the fresh air.
Climb:
Long Point (shade after 1pm)
Explore a different part of Summersville Lake if the weather calls for shade. Bring layers if climbing here after noon. A mix of trad and sport, everyone will find something here
Whippoorwhill (sun!)
It’s spring break and you want to enjoy the sun and socialize, opt for Whippoorwill instead. There’s something for everyone here.
Dinner:
The Local 805
Come rub elbows with locals and be sure to stick around late enough for karaoke. Get the chicken wings!
