Every Sat from May through Oct Fayette County Farmer’s Market in parking lot by Diogi’s in Fayetteville.  First Saturday of the month artisans and musicians are featured as well as fresh produce.  Stock up on your way to the crag!

July 30-      Appalachian String Band Festival  A full week of endless old time music in a beautiful spot 25 min. from Fayetteville. This festival is considered to be the very   Aug 3            best of its kind and offers contests, dances, endless jamming, great kids activities…highlight of the summer around here!

Aug 2            Captain Thurmond New River Challenge.  This classic event is a blast: mountain bike 15 miles from Fayetteville to Cunard, kayak or raft 7 miles from Cunard to                    Fayette Station and then run 6.5 miles out of the gorge back to Fayetteville.  Solo or on a team, you will have a story to tell.

Aug 3              Thurmond Triathlon  This is the perfect beginner triathlon: 2 mile bike, 1.5 mile paddle and a 2 mile run. Great for kids and families!

Aug 23           New River Gorgeous Trail Run.    A beautiful, technical course with great views of the river.  Choose your distance: 8.5, 7.5 or 5 miles.

Sept 19-21    American Alpine Club Craggin Classic   This laid back super fun event reminds us of the early days of the Rendezvous.  Well worth attending!

Oct 18             Bridge Day  The largest one day festival in WV, Bridge Day is not to be missed.  Basejumpers hurl themselves off the bridge all day with the peak fall foliage in                             the background.  Exciting!  Be sure to head down to the landing zone to check out the action there too.
